M.Tabatabai Shahab M.D.Dr. Shahab was born and raised in Tehran. He had all his Education in Tehran. He graduated from university of Tehran, Medical school. He came to united state for his post doctrine Education. He had his residency training in obstetrics and Gynecology at university of Cincinnati in Ohio. Then he had his Fellowship in gynecology oncology at university of Kentucky. He returned to Iran and was chairman of the department of Ob/Gyn at university of Tabriz, Iran and director of female Cancer center in the same city for three years. He returned to United States and was involve in private Practice and teaching. He served as director of Family Planning Program in Ocean County for about 30 years. He joined the staff of Trinitas Regional Medical center in 2001 and served as director of training for Medical student and Resident in his field. In 2005 he promoted to Life Fellow at American College of Obstetrics and gynecology. He directed about 15 Residents for preparation of their final Thesis for graduations. Finally in 2015 he decided to retire from Practice of medicine. Still he enjoys part time teaching and consulting the other physicians and enjoys his four
grandchildren.
He published four books and numerous articles in English and Persian. His final book was about the life of Salman Farsi the friend of Profit and the first Persian that converted to Islam. His interest always was history and especially history of Religion, and Islamic history. He has a vast knowledge in this Field. Since opening of Noor va Danesh he was an active participant of this organization. He conducted several lectures in Medicine and religion in the past in this place. Now he is serving as treasurer and member of board of trustee of Noor va Danesh. |
